This past week, one network in particular has gone above and beyond to stomp all over real journalism — and now, it’s acting like nothing more than a propaganda arm for America’s enemies. It’s hard to watch the reckless coverage and still pretend these corporate newsrooms worry about America’s safety or security.
Let’s face it, this news outlet’s constant apologies and walk-backs over its botched stories about the New York City bombing attempt aren’t just embarrassing — they show straight-up incompetence. First, they rush out with wild accusations and panic-inducing headlines. Minutes later, the facts catch up, and suddenly they shift gears, spin the story, or hope no one notices their original narrative was built on sand. If these media elites actually cared about accuracy, we’d see strict facts — not panicked corrections.
But it gets worse. Instead of doubling down on the side of Americans, this network seems to be auditioning for a spot on Iranian state television. It pushes stories and angles that serve everyone except the people who live, work, and raise families in the United States. Being this out-of-touch takes work, and it’s no mistake. There’s a reason we see more excuses and sympathy for bad actors from hostile regimes than for everyday Americans harmed by weak leadership and failed liberal policies.
This is what happens when leftist ideology infects every level of an organization. There’s no room for truth, just narratives. Every flub becomes another opportunity to twist things, distract voters, and help their favorite politicians cling to power. The hypocrisy is off the charts. Imagine, after the disaster of this coverage, if the shoe were on the other foot — conservatives would be pilloried endlessly. But here, we get silence or, worse, smug justifications.
Maybe the cable news bosses think Americans are too busy or too dumb to care, but we see what’s happening. When a major network starts acting more loyal to authoritarian regimes than to the truth, it’s not just sloppy journalism — it’s a threat to our country. How much more American credibility are they willing to burn just to push their anti-American agenda? The real question is, when did telling the truth become so inconvenient for the left?
