Another day in Biden’s America, and another senseless attack unfolds — this time on the grounds of Old Dominion University. The leftist dream of open borders and virtue signaling has real, tragic consequences, as we saw when a 36-year-old shooter, Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, let his ISIS sympathies loose on American soil. This isn’t some faceless threat halfway across the world. This is a terror ideology brought home, wrapped tightly in the failed policies of today’s progressive elite.
Jalloh wasn’t some lost soul. He was a naturalized citizen from Sierra Leone, handpicked by the globalist immigration system the left loves to protect. His victim? An Army veteran — a man who wore the uniform, who put America before himself. Where’s the media outrage for him? Where’s the candlelight vigil from the same folks who demand tolerance for everyone except the people who built this country?
Campus violence is nothing new, but the silence is deafening when the facts don’t fit the usual anti-gun, anti-police narrative. If the attacker had a different background, cable news anchors would be hyperventilating about “white supremacists.” But since this is a radicalized immigrant who worshiped ISIS, suddenly it’s crickets. Liberals tell us to watch our words, to avoid “Islamophobia” — meanwhile, real Americans are dying at the hands of people who hate our way of life.
Old Dominion University might have boasted about diversity and inclusion, but did it protect its students? Did it honor that military veteran’s sacrifice? The answer is written in blood on their campus. Liberal leaders push the myth that every refugee and new arrival is just longing for apple pie and the American dream, but attacks like this are the painful reality check.
The ruling class’s obsession with political correctness costs lives. They roll out the welcome mat to anyone, no questions asked, and act shocked when violent extremism strikes inside our borders. If our leaders won’t defend us and honor our heroes, what good are they? Americans need to demand real security, not more empty slogans and cheap hashtags. Will we finally say enough is enough, or will we let open-border idealism keep burying our bravest?
