Hollywood has always loved a good fad, but now they’ve outdone themselves. This year’s Oscars looked like a parade of disappearing acts, with stars falling over themselves to jump on the Ozempic craze. It’s enough to make any red-blooded American cringe. These aren’t movie icons anymore — they’re walking stick figures, desperate for media applause and Instagram likes.
It’s all about “thin is in” again with these elites. The same woke crowd who screams about “body positivity” and “loving yourself” now chase quick-fix injections to shrink down to near-invisible. They expect the rest of us to applaud their “bravery” while they hide the truth behind designer gowns. And where’s the honesty? The liberal media refuses to call them out, too afraid to hurt the feelings of their precious celebrities. The hypocrisy stinks worse than last year’s leftover caviar.
Back in the day, at least someone had the spine to tell it like it is. Joan Rivers would have laughed these Hollywood phonies off the carpet—using real humor, not concern about “trigger warnings.” Liberals killed off that type of honesty because it didn’t fit their fantasy world, preferring safe spaces over sharp wit. The result? A sea of scared, unhealthy-looking celebs pretending they’re the picture of health.
What does this say about American culture? When our so-called “role models” put dangerous, trendy injections above old-fashioned self-discipline and honesty, something is broken. But liberals keep cheering from the sidelines, happy to watch big pharma rake in billions, while their Hollywood darlings set impossible and unhealthy standards for everyday Americans. This isn’t just about looks – it’s about a society that rewards shortcuts and smug hypocrisy instead of truth and backbone.
Maybe it’s time for someone with guts to show up on that red carpet again and tell these pampered elites what the rest of America is already thinking. Or will the Oscars just keep handing out trophies for who can vanish fastest? That’s Hollywood’s idea of progress — and if this is their idea of “beauty,” count me out.
