It’s amazing what the left will excuse when it fits their twisted agenda. Mahmud Khalil — a man who shot to fame as the American face of anti-Israel protests — is getting the red carpet from progressives, even after the world witnessed Hamas butchers murder over a thousand innocent Israelis on October 7th. These aren’t some run-of-the-mill protesters. They celebrate the very group that took hundreds hostage and shed rivers of innocent blood. Still, Democrats trip over themselves to defend them and their so-called “free speech.”
Now, suddenly, liberals like Mr. Mamdani are all about the First Amendment. They bend over backwards to defend Hamas fans under the banner of “free speech,” even though they’ve spent years trying to cancel anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders. Remember when conservatives like Riley Gaines or Charlie Kirk tried to speak on campus and got shouted down or kicked out? No First Amendment then! But cheer on terrorists and suddenly every leftist is a civil liberties hero.
This hypocrisy is sickening but not surprising. The left only champions free speech when it suits their globalist, anti-American agenda. When conservative voices are at risk, Democrats are quick to demand deplatforming, silencing, or doxxing. But if you’re leading chants for groups with actual blood on their hands, you get applause, not consequences. It proves again—progressives care more about undermining Western values than about actual freedom.
Let’s call this what it is. The left’s so-called support for Palestine has nothing to do with peace or justice. It’s about siding against America’s allies and cozying up to the world’s worst actors. They’d rather excuse terror than admit they’re wrong, even if it drowns basic human decency.
Why does the left love playing defense for evil, as long as it’s aimed at Western values? Maybe Democrats should stop pretending they care about free speech and admit what they really want—a world where the only voices that matter are the ones that hate America.
