Washington’s elites think they’re above the law, and this week’s courtroom drama proves it again. Judge Boasberg just blocked the Justice Department’s push to subpoena Jerome Powell. That means the man in charge of our money gets a free pass—no questions, no accountability, and certainly no loyalty to the American people.
What’s the excuse this time? According to Boasberg, the investigation supposedly tried to nudge Powell into following President Trump’s orders. Heaven forbid a Republican president tries to steer America’s economy in a direction that puts working families first! Suddenly, the Federal Reserve is hiding behind the excuse of “independence,” while liberals cheer as another globalist bureaucrat dodges scrutiny.
Let’s be honest: the media only cares about “independence” when it protects their own. When Democrats want to bully, intimidate, or outright replace anyone who disagrees with them, that’s just “oversight.” But when conservatives demand simple answers, it’s called “interference.” It’s laughable. The double standard couldn’t be more obvious.
This country is tired of unelected officials playing god with our future. While families struggle with priced-out groceries, destroyed savings, and jobs shipped overseas, Powell sits in his marble tower—safe from tough questions. The so-called “guardians” of democracy won’t even let him face a subpoena but expect us to trust these swamp creatures with our kids’ futures.
Is it really any surprise why Americans are fed up with the D.C. circus? The elites want us to shut up and accept their rules. But here’s the truth: The Federal Reserve shouldn’t be a law unto itself. If even our nation’s highest leaders can’t ask questions, what hope is there for the rest of us?
