How Derek Dooley Could Hand Georgia to the Democrats and Destroy the Senate GOP Majority

It’s hard to watch the Georgia Senate race turn into a circus thanks to Derek Dooley, a supposed Republican who seems desperate to trip up the party at every turn. With the entire country on the line, Dooley’s campaign is shaping up to be a spoiler play—pushing one of the most important Senate battles in America toward a pointless, expensive runoff. Who benefits from grinding the conservative momentum to a halt? Certainly not the voters of Georgia or the citizens who count on a Republican Senate to stop the radical Left.

The facts are staring us right in the face. Dooley is running a distant, almost embarrassing third. The leading conservative, Mike Collins, is miles ahead, stacked with serious endorsements—from fighters who actually move the needle. Buddy Carter, another strong contender, is six points ahead of Dooley in the polls. Still, Dooley is soaking up precious breathing room, all while handing the Democrats more ammunition to claim Republican infighting. Who asked for this mess?

Even worse, Dooley has started spouting off tired attacks that echo the Democrats’ favorite talking points. He wants people to blame the GOP for government shutdowns, practically ignoring the fact that Democrats in Washington have been the ones holding the country hostage just to kneecap President Trump’s America First agenda. Instead of calling out Biden’s lackeys for their endless obstruction, Dooley is pushing the failed narrative of the liberal elite and their Georgia enablers. It’s outright shameful.

Let’s not forget Dooley’s “conservative” credentials are paper thin. He barely bothered to vote for decades. Suddenly, he wants Georgia Republicans to rally behind him? Out of nowhere, he flips a switch, casts a ballot—just in time to get the blessing of Brian Kemp’s crowd, the very corner of the party anxious to water down real conservative leadership. Voters have to see this for what it is. The last thing Georgia needs is a fair-weather Republican propped up by the same establishment forces who are always willing to cut deals with the globalist Left.

Republicans in Georgia have done the heavy lifting. There have been real wins: tax cuts, border security, tough laws like the Laken Riley Act that finally get serious about illegal immigration. Donald Trump’s agenda has become law, despite endless attacks by Democrats who care more about power than protecting American families. Now is the time to unite behind proven fighters, not hand-wringing sideliners like Dooley who only make it easier for the Left to divide and conquer.

Georgia patriots need to ask themselves: Do we want another endless runoff, draining time and cash, while the Democrats laugh all the way to the bank? Or do we stand strong, close ranks, and put true conservatives front and center—where they belong?
