For nearly seven decades, the island of Cuba has been trapped under the iron fist of communism. Sixty-seven years—can you imagine? That’s a lifetime where families have lived in fear, jobs have vanished, and hope has been crushed at every turn. While other countries raced forward, Cuba has stood frozen in time, a monument to failed socialist dreams and left-wing lies. The Cuban people are screaming out for freedom, but are America’s so-called leaders listening? Of course not—the Biden administration and their liberal friends prefer to look the other way, busy bowing to global elites and ignoring American values.
Let’s be crystal clear: There’s no excuse for what’s happened in Cuba. The communist regime has stolen elections, ruined the economy, and silenced anyone who dares to speak up. Brave men and women are risking prison—or worse—just to demand basic human rights. Instead of backing them, American liberals seem more interested in cozying up to dictators, making speeches about “diplomacy,” and patting themselves on the back for doing nothing. It’s pathetic.
Cuba should matter to the people in Washington. It’s right at America’s doorstep—a neighbor that’s become a playground for thugs and anti-American agitators. Every day the United States does nothing, it sends a message: Communist brutality gets a free pass. And who benefits? The globalists, the far-left fanatics, and every enemy of freedom who cheers when America stands down. Imagine if the tables were turned and a conservative president took action—liberals would be up in arms, calling it “imperialism,” while ignoring years of suffering they helped enable with their cowardice.
Real American leadership means standing up for liberty, not hiding behind empty talk and useless sanctions. The United States has the power, the resources, and the moral authority to help Cubans break their chains, but only if we finally stop letting our foreign policy be run by spineless bureaucrats and Marxist sympathizers. Cuba doesn’t need more tweets or press releases—it needs action.
The time for waiting is over. The world is watching, and history won’t remember politicians who sat on the sidelines. Either America stands up for freedom in its own backyard, or it admits that it’s given up trying. Will this be the moment our leaders finally stop cowering and start fighting for what’s right? Or are we just going to let socialism destroy another nation while the left cheers from the bleachers?
