CNN can’t seem to keep itself out of trouble these days. Just when the network thought things couldn’t get any worse, new details are coming out that give Americans every reason to side-eye their so-called “journalistic excellence.” It turns out that while Iran’s brutal regime continues to crack down on its own people, CNN officials have been caught getting cozy at a party inside the Iranian Embassy. Yes, the same Iran that jails women for showing their hair and funds terrorists around the world.
Instead of standing strong for freedom, the liberal media elite at CNN are hobnobbing with the same authoritarians who crush it. What happened to the outrage these talking heads love to drum up every time they sniff out “foreign influence” at home? Suddenly, it’s all cocktails and canapés with a regime that opposes every value America is supposed to stand for. It’s the height of hypocrisy—and an insult to everyone fighting for liberty.
CNN is desperate to claim it’s delivering brave news coverage in Iran just because the mullahs let them in. Let’s be honest: regimes like Iran only roll out the red carpet for reporters they can manipulate. Anyone who’s paying attention can see through the spin. Iran wanted a PR boost, and CNN happily played along, angling for a few exclusive shots while the regime gets to parade its “openness” on the world stage.
The left and their media pets love to accuse conservatives of being puppets, yet when it comes to real cozying up with our enemies, it’s always the progressive press first in line for the photo op. The globalist agenda comes before American interests, again and again. When you’re sipping cocktails with the enemies of freedom, you’ve lost the right to lecture the rest of us about democracy.
Americans deserve honest reporting, not propaganda hand-delivered by dictatorial regimes. If CNN cared half as much about the truth as they do about their access and social invitations, maybe their reputation wouldn’t be sinking faster than their ratings. Why is it always the liberal media caught cuddling up to tyrants, then pretending to be the hero? Maybe next time CNN wants to act righteous, they should remember which side they’re really on.
