Iran’s women’s soccer team just made a decision that should open the eyes of every American who buys into the mainstream media’s nonsense about oppression and immigration. Three more of their players, who had a perfect chance to run to Australia and ask for “refugee” status, decided to go back home to Iran. This is not the story the left wants you to see. Every day, liberals tell us that anyone from the Middle East is desperate to escape their country at any cost, fleeing “terrible oppression,” and will do anything to never return. But when these athletes got their shot, they packed up and went back.
Let’s not forget, this trip happened before the latest chaos exploded in the Middle East at the end of February. The world’s media and so-called human rights experts always jump at the chance to paint Iran as unlivable for women—yet here are female athletes who could’ve stayed in the freedom-loving West, but didn’t. Maybe Australia wasn’t the “perfect safe haven” or utopia the globalists keep bragging about. Or maybe—just maybe—not everyone from a foreign country wants to abandon their lives, ditch their homes, and declare Western nations their new landlords.
It’s amazing to see the media ignore stories like these while they push for open borders and flood our country with migrants. Australia, like any strong nation, has its share of problems with illegal immigration—yet, even after all the drama in the Middle East started, Iranian athletes chose home over a western passport. If these women, who all the progressives love to use as human shields in their narratives, aren’t lining up to become refugees, why should Americans believe the sob stories from radical activists about mass exodus and never-ending asylum claims?
Liberal governments across the West want us to pity everyone, ship tax dollars overseas, and turn every city into a “sanctuary” for anyone who claims hardship. But the Trump-era truth is simple: most people want to live in their home countries, not become pawns in the left’s immigration game. Globalists and bleeding hearts in Washington might cry about “closed doors,” but common sense tells us that not every traveler or athlete is desperate to become a refugee.
Here’s the big question no liberal politician will answer: if even Iranian women’s soccer players don’t want to trade their homeland for life in the West, why on earth do Democrats demand America fling its doors open and carry the world’s burdens? Maybe it’s time we admit the ugly truth—the open borders agenda isn’t really about helping people after all.
