While American leaders talk about “fairness,” Europe sharpens its knives against the U.S. The latest slap comes straight from the European Union, with their scheme to give homegrown companies a cushy advantage in military deals, space programs, and anything digital. So much for playing by the rules or treating allies as equals.
Of course, the bureaucrats in Brussels can’t resist tweaking the game in their favor. Meanwhile, American companies are told to sit down, shut up, and take whatever scraps the EU decides to toss across the Atlantic. It’s not just about telecoms—it’s a preview of how globalists want to muscle America out of tomorrow’s tech and security. Liberals here love to preach about global partnerships, but it turns out these foreign “partners” are drawing the line right through the American wallet.
Why is anyone surprised? European elites talk big about free markets and democracy when the cameras are rolling, but their first instinct is always protectionism. Anything to keep American innovation out, while they count on our taxpayers and soldiers to bail them out the next time something goes wrong. The hypocrisy would be hilarious if it weren’t so dangerous.
And what does our own leadership do? Too many in DC would rather virtue signal about “international cooperation” than actually fight for American jobs and businesses. The FCC is right to call out the EU’s ham-fisted tactics—but it can’t end with empty talk. Weak-kneed globalists and tech-worshipping liberals look the other way as Europe plots to kneecap American industry. This is madness.
Let’s tell it straight: America built the backbone of the digital world and keeps the peace, but the minute our companies try to compete, the Eurocrats throw up walls. Who’s standing up for us? Are we going to let socialists in velvet suits write the rules, or is it finally time for real leaders who put America’s interests first?
