Woke ideology and DEI (that’s “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” for those still blissfully unaware) have infected our classrooms, pushing real education aside for social experiments. It’s no secret that classrooms once filled with math facts and history lessons are now bombarded with lectures about privilege, identity, and so-called equity. Instead of reading, writing, and arithmetic, kids get a steady diet of guilt and grievance. Critical thinking? Not when feelings matter more than facts. It’s a wonder anyone remembers the Pledge of Allegiance at all.
Administrators, eager to please the crowd, buckle under the weight of woke pressure. Globalist billionaires and anti-American groups flood districts with funds, making sure conservative voices are shouted down. Parents who question the madness get labeled “bigots” or worse. Imagine thinking it’s controversial to ask for schools to focus on hard work and merit, rather than skin color or identity politics. Welcome to upside-down America.
It doesn’t stop at policy meetings and PowerPoint slides. The woke takeover has a real cost. Kids who once dreamed big now walk on eggshells. Teachers fear for their jobs if they don’t toe the line. Meanwhile, reading and math scores plummet. The woke Left promised equality and empowerment; instead, they’re serving up chaos and confusion.
The American education system used to be the envy of the world. Today, it’s a laboratory for social engineering. Why would anyone trust liberals to teach children when they can’t even teach basic common sense?
