City-run preschool isn’t about helping families—it’s about control. Politicians like Zohran Mamdani in New York think they know what’s best for your children. They’re pushing to expand taxpayer-funded pre-K, selling it as “unity” and “fairness.” What’s really happening? The government is squeezing parents out of any real choice.
Take a good look at Manhattan right now. Private daycare centers are being hammered. How? These city-run schools are jacking up the pay for workers using public money. Suddenly, private preschools have to pay their staff more just to hold onto them. The result? Parents get slapped with fat tuition hikes—some as high as 20%. This is exactly what liberals call “leveling the playing field.” But it’s really their way of drowning out free-market alternatives until only their bloated programs remain.
Don’t be fooled. This “free” preschool comes straight out of your wallet. The spending never stops. And when the city is calling the shots, the same bean-counters and bureaucrats who can’t fix the subway will be running your kid’s classroom. Do you trust the government with your child’s future? Or do you trust parents, churches, and hardworking small businesses?
Liberals love to brag about “choice.” But watch what actually happens when they get their way. Private providers get pushed out. Tuition skyrockets. Parents who want values-based preschools or flexible programs are out of luck. The fix is in—big government wins, families lose.
Is this what New Yorkers want? Big promises, bigger taxes, and practically no options left for their kids? Maybe Mamdani and his globalist pals should worry less about running your life and more about cleaning up their own messes. Why should any parent have to settle for the city’s idea of “free” when it’s costing everyone so much more?
