If you ever wondered just how far the left is willing to go to excuse antisemitism, look no further than New York City’s mayor and his family circus. Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife, Rama Duwaji, can’t seem to stay out of controversy. She’s been caught liking posts that literally praise the October 7 Hamas terror rampage—yes, cheering on murderers. If that wasn’t enough, she got paid to draw pictures for a book by a Palestinian “activist” who shamelessly compared Jewish people to vermin. Let that sink in.
When the news broke, instead of holding anyone accountable, the usual crowd of leftist media hacks rushed in to cover for her. Suddenly, Duwaji is just a “private citizen,” totally separate from anything her powerful husband does. Somehow, we’re expected to pretend like the spouse of New York’s mayor—the city with the biggest Jewish community outside of Israel—has zero influence. Apparently, the title of “First Lady” just means absolutely nothing unless it’s convenient for them. Only when the left’s scandals hit home do they invent new rules.
Of course, Mamdani himself stood in front of the cameras, faking outrage about “unacceptable rhetoric” while telling the public his wife barely knew who she was drawing for. Give us a break. Anyone who’s worked freelance knows exactly who’s paying their bills. If she were a conservative, the mob would demand her head for so much as liking the wrong Facebook post. Instead, because she ticks the right identity boxes and supports the “right” causes, she’s handed a free pass.
The hypocrisy doesn’t end there. These liberals scream about “virtue” and “tolerance” while their allies openly spread hate. When Islamists nearly blew up their own protestors, Mamdani couldn’t even bring himself to blame the real culprits—instead blaming supposed “white supremacy.” It’s always deflection with these people, always blaming America first, never demanding any responsibility from their own camp. New York is caught in the crossfire of clueless leftists who put their woke politics over public safety.
Let’s be honest—this circus isn’t some one-off blunder. It’s exactly the kind of mess you get when you hand a city to socialists who despise American values and excuse hate as long as it suits their radical agenda. Is anyone surprised New Yorkers are paying the price while left-wing elites get away with everything? Maybe the real question isn’t why this keeps happening. It’s why voters keep falling for these phony progressives who can’t even condemn antisemitism in their own homes.
