Hollywood held its annual self-congratulation parade again, the so-called Academy Awards, and once more proved just how out of touch this elite crowd has become. These are the folks who love lecturing America from their gold-plated podiums, acting like they alone should decide what’s right and wrong. If you watched, you saw the same tired routine—overpaid millionaires patting each other on the back for “bravery,” all while sneering at the rest of us who live in the real world.
Instead of celebrating genuine achievement, these awards drowned in political statements. The so-called “stars” couldn’t make it through a single speech without pushing some left-wing agenda or virtue signaling to their buddies. The only thing big enough to beat the egos in the room was the pile of hypocrisy on display. These people tell middle America how to live while hiding out behind their gated mansions and private jets. Guess they think we’re too dumb to notice the double standard.
What’s actually remarkable about this year wasn’t just the usual political circus—it was how absurd and downright stupid the whole thing felt. All that glitz and glam, but for what? It’s a tired show that pretends to matter, but it’s just empty ceremony. Regular Americans are supposed to care about actors handing trophies to their friends while preaching about “justice” and “change”? Please. Maybe if Hollywood spent less time playing hero onstage and more time fixing their own industry, they’d have less to complain about.
Let’s not forget, this isn’t just lame entertainment. It’s part of a bigger push. Hollywood is the cheerleader for globalist interests and progressive nonsense—always ready to take a swipe at faith, family values, and American tradition. No wonder their ratings plunge year after year. Real people have stopped watching, and the message just keeps getting lost in all the narcissism and noise.
The Oscars used to mean something. Now they’re just a flashy echo chamber, where liberals talk to themselves and pretend the rest of the country agrees. Maybe next year Hollywood should hand out trophies for the best performance in pretending to care about the heartland—because they’re not fooling anyone. Who needs a gold statue when you’re already so rich in arrogance?
