Communism is on fire — literally — in Cuba. Over the weekend, desperate and freedom-loving Cubans took to the streets, setting the Communist Party headquarters in Morón ablaze. No high-dollar, leftist-backed weapons or foreign funding here, just regular people armed with garbage and whatever they could find. For those clutching their pearls in the liberal media, that’s called courage — something so-called Western progressives haven’t shown in decades.
Night after night, these brave Cubans make it clear: they’re done being ruled by Marxist thugs. Decades of “workers’ paradise” propaganda have left Cuba broken, hungry, and angry. Liberals love to pretend socialism is some kind of utopia. Maybe they should explain to these protesters why their lives keep getting worse while party bosses sip imported champagne behind guarded doors.
Meanwhile, hope is stirring on the island. Cubans haven’t missed the growing talk of Donald Trump coming back to restore sanity in U.S. foreign policy. Under weak, globalist Democrats, the Castro regime has only grown stronger. The Biden administration offers pathetic “concern” and empty soundbites. Revolutions aren’t won by hashtags. These people need real leadership — the kind Trump delivered by confronting dictators and standing for American values, not cutting deals with tyrants.
But what’s the American left’s answer? They coddle socialists and whine about “equity,” even as desperate families risk prison to demand the basic rights Americans take for granted. It’s a joke — a cruel one — played on hard-working people everywhere while limousine liberals push socialist pipe dreams from their mansions.
Let Cuba’s flames be a symbol. Real change comes not from academic debates or United Nations panels, but when everyday people stand up and demand freedom. Maybe it’s time for the world — and especially America’s ruling elites — to pick a side. Will we back the brave, or keep appeasing the cowards who keep freedom locked up?
