Last Thursday, chaos took over Old Dominion University when Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, 36, barged into a classroom, screamed an Islamic war cry, and opened fire on a roomful of ROTC students. But the real outrage isn’t just the horror that unfolded. What’s truly sickening is how this terrorist was allowed to walk free among our youth—all thanks to weak, liberal laws cooked up in Richmond by Democrats who care more about criminal rights than American safety.
Jalloh wasn’t some misunderstood guy or poor immigrant desperate for a second chance. He was a full-blown radical, hiding in plain sight. Why? Because Virginia Democrats made it nearly impossible for campuses to know the dark histories of dangerous individuals like him. They pushed for laws under the banner of “criminal justice reform,” but let’s call this what it is—turning our colleges into soft targets for monsters. With their feel-good policies, the left handed out get-out-of-jail-free cards while our brave military instructors paid the ultimate price.
The blood of Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, slain while preparing tomorrow’s leaders, is on the hands of those who put social experiments above basic safety. The Democrat governor’s reaction only made things worse. Instead of admitting these failures, she jumped on social media acting mystified, as if she had no idea her own party’s laws made this disaster possible. Maybe she should spend less time tweeting, and more time protecting Virginia families.
Let’s not forget the real heroes. It wasn’t the woke university administrators or virtue-signaling politicians who stopped the carnage. It was a handful of gutsy cadets who took matters into their own hands and stopped the terrorist before he could hurt more innocent Americans. These young patriots reminded everyone what real courage looks like—something you can’t find in a classroom on Diversity Day or a Democrat-run legislative session.
How many more times will Americans have to suffer because liberal elites refuse to learn? The left keeps making excuses for criminals and opening the gates to danger—all while acting shocked when their own policies blow up in their faces. Are these so-called “leaders” going to wait until every school is a hunting ground before they admit they were wrong?
