Cuba Plunged Into Darkness Is This the Green Future Liberals Want

On Monday night, the entire country of Cuba went dark. That isn’t some overblown headline, folks—this time, it’s real. Every corner of that communist island, from Havana to the smallest village, sat smothered in blackout. No cell service. No air conditioning. Not even a flicker of light. All thanks to years of socialist mismanagement that liberals in America fawn over.

The mainstream media likes to pretend Cuba is some paradise—a “people’s utopia” where the government takes care of everyone. But reality hits hard when the lights go off. For years, Cubans have suffered through rolling blackouts. Isn’t it funny how socialists promise “free” healthcare and education, but they can’t even keep the power on? This is what happens when you let government bureaucrats and corrupt elites run everything into the ground.

Let’s be honest—it’s not just Cuba’s leaders who are responsible. Globalists and leftist politicians have spent decades cozying up to the regime, acting like a handshake with the Castros would turn the country into Paris overnight. Instead, they’ve enabled a failed system. Those same politicians now want us to follow Cuba’s lead with “Green New Deals” and “energy justice” nonsense, all while average Cubans are stuck sweating in the dark.

American liberals love to virtue-signal about Cuba’s so-called “fairness,” yet they ignore Cubans risking everything to escape. If socialism is so great, why are rafters still washing up on Florida’s shores? Maybe next time climate activists chant about banning fossil fuels and dismantling “evil” energy companies, they should remember what zero electricity looks like in real life.

Let Cuba’s blackout be a warning. This is the world Democrats and their globalist friends want for America—massive government control, empty promises, and nothing left but darkness. Are we going to learn, or will we follow the left all the way to a blackout?
