While Americans are struggling to buy groceries and gas, our so-called cultural elites can’t even manage to put on a pair of pants with dignity. The glitzy red carpet became a circus of vanity, with celebrities desperate to one-up each other in the “look at me” contest. But nothing took the cake like Gwyneth Paltrow’s so-called gown.
Gwyneth, who’s always sold herself as some kind of lifestyle guru, strutted out in a dress you’d expect to see in a parody. Both sides were cut so wide open, it looked more like a bathroom break gone wrong than high fashion. Maybe she thought she was making an artistic statement. Or maybe she just wanted to prove there’s no bottom to the left’s obsession with self-expression.
This is what passes for role models under liberal Hollywood’s watch. Nothing is off-limits if it can get you attention, no matter how ridiculous. These are the same people who want to tell hard-working Americans how to raise their kids, what to eat, what holidays to celebrate. But when it comes to some basic self-respect? Crickets.
And let’s not forget the designers and gatekeepers fueling this madness. The Hollywood elite are too busy obsessing over gender-neutral clothing lines, climate change sermons, and globalist cults to care about the average American’s values. Gwyneth’s bathroom-ready dress is just the latest symptom of an industry disconnected from reality and common sense.
Americans used to look to movie stars for inspiration. Now they’re just a punchline. Is Hollywood a beacon of culture, or just a sad sideshow for globalist puppets and attention-hungry liberals? One thing’s certain: If this is the future of style, we’re all better off sticking with blue jeans and old-fashioned decency.
