Democrats prioritize politics over safety push for DHS shutdown

Democrats are at it again, showing Americans exactly where their priorities lie. On national TV, one of the left’s biggest talking heads claimed that Democrats need to “stick to their guns” and fight for a Department of Homeland Security shutdown. Let that sink in: while our borders are already overwhelmed, D.C. liberals want to play political games with the very agency in charge of keeping us safe.

What’s their big concern? According to the left, airport headaches are the least of our problems. That’s right—the safety, sanity, and order provided by ICE means nothing to them. Instead, liberals complain that the work of Immigration and Customs Enforcement is somehow more “inconvenient” than a clogged airport. Only the disconnected elite could believe that enforcing the law is more troublesome than a delayed flight.

This is the same tired script from the left: block, disrupt, and undermine any agency that puts America first. They’re so obsessed with pushing their radical open-border agenda, they’d rather shut down everything than admit that strong borders work. Who cares if hardworking citizens are put at risk? As long as Democrats get their talking points on TV, American families can fend for themselves.

The left loves to cry about airport chaos, but when was the last time they spoke up for victims of illegal crime? Never. When ICE takes action to protect us from dangerous criminals, liberals call it “inconvenient.” Here’s the truth: Americans want secure communities and safe neighborhoods—not hand-wringing lectures from the ivory towers of cable news.

How many more times will Democrats make a political spectacle out of our national security? When did defending American lives become a nuisance in their eyes? If fighting to keep America safe is “inconvenient,” maybe the real inconvenience is a Democratic Party that has no clue what real Americans face every day.
