Is it any surprise that radical Democrats can’t resist turning even an airport lunch run into a political circus? While Sen. John Cornyn rolled up his sleeves to deliver some good old Texas Whataburger to hardworking TSA agents in Austin, Rep. Greg Casar saw an opportunity to perform for the cameras and score points for the anti-America crowd. Instead of rolling up his own sleeves and doing something helpful, Casar ambushed Cornyn, whining about funding while conveniently ignoring how his own party has driven this country to the edge of chaos.
Here’s the real story the left doesn’t want you to hear. Republicans are trying to keep America secure by funding the Department of Homeland Security. That means keeping TSA agents at their posts, supporting ICE, and making sure Border Patrol can do its job. But what are Democrats doing? Blocking the full-year funding bill and demanding radical changes to our immigration policies. All while the border is wide open and criminals are turning streets like Austin’s 6th into war zones.
Democrats like Casar shed crocodile tears for TSA agents but won’t let a bill go forward unless it guts immigration enforcement. They don’t want laws enforced. They want to make this nation a sanctuary for anyone and everyone, even if it puts American lives at risk. Then they turn around and try to blame Republicans for the problems their own obstruction and anti-law enforcement policies create. It’s pure hypocrisy.
If Casar and his leftist friends are so concerned about airport workers and the safety of travelers, why are they holding paychecks and security hostage? Why block a full funding bill? The answer is simple: They care more about appeasing their globalist donors and open-borders extremists than about the average American. They’d rather score cheap political points than do what’s right.
Republicans are fighting to keep this nation safe—whether that means standing up to liberal antics in Congress or delivering burgers to the frontline workers left abandoned by Democrat obstruction. The left won’t do their jobs, but they’re happy to hurl accusations at those who will. America deserves better than showboating politicians who’d rather film themselves sneering at a hamburger than solve real problems. Maybe next time, Casar should put down the camera and pick up a funding bill—unless, of course, he’s too busy blaming others to lift a finger.
