America’s borders have been wide open for far too long, and now a real conservative is finally stepping up to put a stop to the madness. Rep. Andy Ogles from Tennessee is tossing a grenade into the political swamp with a bill aimed directly at the broken “chain migration” system. For decades, liberals and globalists pushed for endless immigration, pretending it was all about compassion and family values. In reality, they sold out hardworking Americans to import millions of newcomers who don’t share our values—and who too often become instant burdens on the system.
Chain migration has been a loophole exploited by the left to permanently transform America’s demographic landscape. You don’t get the best and brightest; you get endless “family reunification,” with one green card turning into five, then ten, then twenty. This open invitation, enshrined by the disastrous Hart-Celler Act, has flooded America’s schools, hospitals, and streets with people who have no interest in becoming part of our culture. Instead, they’re encouraged to cling to the old country and milk the system dry. The only people winning are Democrat politicians, who want a permanent underclass voting block.
Instead of fixing our broken system, liberals double down on pandering and virtue signaling. They say it’s racist to even ask for basic vetting or merit-based immigration, all while ignoring the crime, wages driven down, and strain on social services. They care more about what plays well in faculty lounges and globalist boardrooms than they do about American families struggling to make ends meet.
Rep. Ogles’s proposal is a breath of fresh air for anyone tired of watching America get overrun. It’s simple common sense: bring in only those who can prove their worth and will contribute to our country. Enough with endless “family chains” and loopholes—it’s time for a system that puts American security and prosperity ahead of political correctness. Try explaining that to the limousine liberals hiding behind their gated communities while the rest of us foot the bill.
Do we want a country, or do we want a globalist open-borders free-for-all? The left has made their choice clear. Thank goodness there are still patriots like Ogles willing to fight for the real America. How much more should citizens tolerate before demanding their leaders finally put them first?
