Ireland’s leaders used to stand tall for their country. Now, they seem more interested in tearing down its traditions. Catherine Connolly, the president of Ireland, just took Saint Patrick’s Day—a day meant for honoring Irish culture—and twisted it into an ad campaign for mass migration.
Instead of talking about Irish history, Connolly gushed over the idea of open borders and endless migration. She acted as if Irishness means nothing more than paperwork and geography. Never mind the centuries of struggle, the deep faith, or the unique traditions that make Ireland special. In her eyes, it seems being Irish is just a matter of being present on Irish soil.
This is exactly what globalist elites want. They want to erase national pride, history, and identity. And liberals are all too happy to hand them the pen. These so-called leaders have the nerve to preach about “inclusivity” while they openly attack the very soul of their country.
Saint Patrick’s Day should be a time to celebrate the Irish people and their faith—not to promote policies that flood the country with people who don’t share its values or heritage. It’s outrageous to see Ireland’s president turning a beloved holiday into a lecture about how Ireland needs to be “remade” and “redefined.” Why do liberals push so hard to water down everything that makes a country unique? Where does it end?
Let’s be real—in today’s upside-down world, loving your nation has become a crime in the eyes of the left. But if Ireland loses its identity, it won’t just be the Irish who pay the price. It’s a warning to the rest of the West: keep your culture, or watch it vanish under a tide of pointless “progress.” Has “diversity” become just another excuse for erasing everything that makes us who we are?
