Chile is finally waking up to the nightmare spreading across Latin America. Instead of just wringing their hands, the country’s top prosecutor is actually asking for action. He wants U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to interrogate Venezuela’s dictator, Nicolás Maduro, about the brutal killing of a Venezuelan dissident, Ronald Ojeda, murdered in exile. It’s about time someone called out the thugs running Venezuela—those strongmen who silence critics and export chaos while pretending to be champions of the people.
But here’s the ugly truth: the global left has been giving Maduro cover for years. Anyone with a brain knows he isn’t some misunderstood reformer. He’s a tyrant. Dissidents vanish, elections are a joke, and the regime lines its pockets while ordinary Venezuelans are forced to flee for their lives. Yet American liberals bend over backwards making excuses for his regime, lusting after the failed socialist “dream” and ignoring the mountain of real-life corpses left in its wake.
Now we see real leadership—not from Biden and his empty-suit foreign policy team, but from a Latin American country actually demanding justice. Pam Bondi is the kind of Attorney General America needs—tough, fearless, and no-nonsense when it comes to holding foreign despots accountable. If only the Biden White House showed half that courage instead of fawning over their globalist buddies and relabeling tyranny as “progress.”
Let’s be clear: asking Maduro about the killing of Ronald Ojeda won’t bring back the dead. But this move exposes the cowardice of the international elite who sip cocktails with dictators and turn up their noses at anyone who points out the obvious. These leftist regimes don’t just threaten their own citizens. Their violence spills over borders, and the world’s so-called “democrats” don’t lift a finger.
When a Latin American prosecutor leaps ahead of the American establishment, it’s a wake up call. Where’s the outrage from Biden, Harris, and their pals in the media? Too busy blaming America for everything or tiptoeing around Maduro for fear of offending the radical left? Maybe the real question is this: how many murdered dissidents will it take before the liberal world finally stops apologizing for socialism?
