Woke politics strikes out Team USA loses to Venezuela as patriotism takes a back seat

While the woke crowd keeps telling us American greatness is a thing of the past, real patriots just watched Team USA fall to Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic. The score? Three to two. Does that sound like the United States is leading the way in sports anymore? Of course not. This is what happens when leaders and coaches start caring more about political posturing than winning.

It used to be that when America’s team stepped onto the field, the whole world knew they were up against the best. But now, after six Classic tournaments, it’s another loss for the supposed “land of the free and home of the brave.” Japan’s won three times. Team USA just got shown up by Venezuela. And yet we’re told everything is fine in Biden’s America.

Maybe this is what happens when American athletes spend more time catering to social justice mobs than practicing their craft. When the people running the show worry more about global image than putting America first, nobody should be surprised when our teams fall short. The left loves globalism and lectures from the “international community.” But that’s not helping us win trophies—or keep pride in our flag.

It’s not just a baseball game. It’s a wakeup call. If America keeps letting the woke Left drain our confidence, we’ll keep losing to countries eager to prove they’re stronger. Baseball is supposed to be our game—our American pastime. But “equity initiatives” and virtue signaling can’t hit a fastball, and they certainly can’t bring home a championship.

Venezuela took the victory while the USA stood stunned. This isn’t about who played harder—it’s about which country acts like it wants to win. If America doesn’t get its act together and demand excellence over political correctness, pretty soon we’ll be on the sidelines in more than just baseball. How long are we willing to settle for second best?
