There’s nothing more American than a strong military standing guard on U.S. soil. And yet, here we are—MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, is under lockdown after a “credible threat.” How did we get to the point where our troops aren’t just fighting enemies overseas—they’re watching their backs right here at home? Maybe ask Joe Biden and his soft-on-crime, open-borders leftist friends.
Let’s be clear. This isn’t some sleepy outpost. MacDill is the backbone of our national defense in the southeast. When a base like this is told to shelter in place, something is seriously wrong. Maybe if the so-called “leadership” in Washington spent less time worrying about diversity quotas and more time enforcing national security, we wouldn’t see American installations hunkering down on our own turf.
The Biden administration loves to lecture Americans about “threats to democracy.” Meanwhile, threats to our military have become routine under their watch. They can spin it any way they want, but this is what failure looks like—failure to protect what matters. Real Americans want to see action—border security, tough penalties for criminals, and zero tolerance for anyone threatening our way of life.
But liberals are too busy letting illegal aliens pour in and letting criminals out, while good men and women in uniform pay the price. The safety of our service members shouldn’t be up for debate. Yet, time and again, Democrats side with America’s enemies by making excuses and tying law enforcement’s hands behind their backs.
Maybe it’s time to stop worrying about political correctness and start defending the homeland—loud and proud. Why should American heroes cower on U.S. soil because Washington’s too weak to draw a line in the sand? How many more wake-up calls will it take before the left admits their policies are putting us all at risk?
