The American military is hard at work, but are Washington’s elites even paying attention? While liberal politicians are busy bowing to globalists and adopting “woke” policies, MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa just faced a real threat. The whole base was forced into a shelter-in-place. Yes, the same base where CENTCOM—the folks in charge of our operations overseas—is running the show. This is the command center leading Operation Epic Fury against Iran. That’s right—the center of America’s counterpunch is right here at home, and still, it had to scramble because of uncertain security.
Let’s be honest: this isn’t just a Tampa story. It’s a symbol of broader Democrat failure. Open borders, weak defense policies, and a lack of seriousness from Biden and his crew have put Americans in danger everywhere, even inside our own military bases. They lecture us about “inclusion” and “equity” from their ivory towers, while our service members are dealing with real emergencies stateside. Who cares about pronoun training when our bases aren’t secure?
CENTCOM is the heart of our military’s efforts to stamp out evil in Iran. Since late February, alongside Israel, our troops have been on the front lines protecting American interests and standing with our allies. Those men and women should be getting every bit of support—not facing threats or interruptions at home. But the left is too busy apologizing for American strength and cozying up to international critics. It’s insulting.
Americans are tired of the hypocrisy. Washington talks a big game about “national security,” but when push comes to shove, they can’t even keep our military bases running without disruption. Do we really trust these same leaders with the safety of our country, our borders, and our families? Even as the base quickly lifted its shelter-in-place order, the damage is clear—our own military isn’t immune from the lawlessness Democrats have allowed to seep into every part of America.
America needs strong leadership and a return to sanity. Our enemies are watching. Iran, China, radicals at home—they see indecision and weakness, and they love it. Maybe it’s time to get serious. Maybe it’s time to send a message, loud and clear: this country will not be threatened or distracted by incompetence any longer. What good is diversity training when the enemy is banging on your door?
