The left loves to build its heroes, but look behind the curtain and it’s often ugly. Now, the mask has fallen off one of their biggest icons — Cesar Chavez. The so-called champion of farm workers is accused of sexually abusing young women and even children. Events honoring him are being scrubbed from town calendars. Why? Because a tidal wave of brave women have come forward, detailing years of abuse that Chavez allegedly committed while he was busy cultivating his “saintly” image.
The ugly truth comes out: Multiple women say Chavez preyed on them when they were barely teens. One says he started targeting her at thirteen. Another describes being raped in a motel during a labor march, and then there’s the co-founder of his own labor group, Dolores Huerta, saying she too suffered at his hands. It’s not just whispers — dozens of women tell stories of harassment, manipulation, and outright assault. Some were just teenagers, others were activists, organizers, or simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. And let’s be clear, this wasn’t a “different time” — this was evil hiding behind power.
But for decades, the left protected their golden boy. Why? Because his name pushed their narrative. Chavez became the face of Latino politics — murals, street names, schools, even a state holiday. Democrat leaders like Obama and Biden bent over backward to praise him. No one dared question the tale, even as his leadership turned twisted and authoritarian, purging dissenters and running his movement like a cult. The left ignored every sign. Their precious “progress” mattered more than truth or justice for the victims.
If someone on the right had these vile accusations against them, you know the routine. The media would rage for blood, every building and holiday would be erased, and any follower would be shamed. But when it’s a left-wing icon? The silence is deafening. Supposed “champions” of women’s rights and social justice suddenly can’t find their voice. These are the same Democrats who claim to care about the vulnerable, but good luck getting them to answer where their loyalties really lie — with the abused, or the powerful abuser who fits their agenda?
America shouldn’t let its history be rewritten by hypocrites. How many more skeletons are liberals hiding in their closets, while demanding conservatives be “canceled” for far less? Any guesses on how long those murals and state holidays will actually stay up now that the real Cesar Chavez is in the spotlight? Maybe it’s finally time the left cleans its own house.
