The American people are supposed to trust the system. Yet, once again, the Washington elite prove they’re playing by their own rules. Jerome Powell, unelected and unaccountable, has made it crystal clear: he’s going to stick around as Federal Reserve Chair for as long as the Department of Justice is sniffing around his business. Apparently, leaving gracefully isn’t an option for those who think they own the top spot.
Let’s be honest. The Federal Reserve was never meant to be a playground for lifelong bureaucrats. But now, Powell is clinging to power with the kind of stubbornness we’d expect from an entrenched politician, not a public servant. What’s keeping him tied to his chair? An investigation that’s dragging on and on, with the usual calls for “transparency.” Funny how bureaucrats only demand transparency when their own necks are on the line.
Look at this mess. Liberals praise “accountability” until it comes knocking at the doors of their own institutions. Now, suddenly, Powell gets to call the shots—refusing to leave until he gets the all-clear from the DOJ. This isn’t how democracy works. But when the globalist club feels threatened, they close ranks and say we just need to “trust the process.”
Americans see right through this charade. While hard-working families struggle with inflation, Powell and his fellow elites care more about protecting their careers and their precious reputations. The left is always first to demand resignations and investigations—except, of course, when it’s their friends sitting in positions of power. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
Why should anyone feel confident in an economic system run by people who refuse to accept consequences? Washington insiders like Powell think everything is negotiable—even their own accountability. Is this how we solve inflation, by letting the same failed leaders hang on forever? Or is it finally time to demand real change and kick out the old guard?
