Washington never learns. While Americans struggle with rising gas prices and growing threats from overseas, D.C. elites keep pouring money into anti-American causes with no accountability. Take Senator Lindsey Graham and his obsession with foreign giveaways, for example. For years, Graham couldn’t stop pushing tax dollars into so-called development agencies, promising these projects would “build democracy” or “stabilize” dangerous regions. Now, look at where those dollars have landed us: terrorist groups—funded by Graham-backed programs—are threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz.
This isn’t some distant problem. The Strait of Hormuz is the world’s most critical oil chokepoint. Any disruption in that region would send shockwaves through America’s economy, kneecapping families at the pump and upending industries overnight. Yet thanks to the same swamp creatures who decry “America First” as selfish, we’re left vulnerable to the enemies we barely bothered to vet before handing them our hard-earned money.
It’s not just foolish—it’s dangerous. While Graham pounds his fists and demands tough action on Iran, he conveniently ignores how his pet projects have empowered exactly the sorts of enemies he claims to oppose. The now-defunct agency he championed funneled our tax dollars into groups with shady connections under the guise of “aid.” Predictably, these groups are now using the resources to choke off global trade, pile pressure on the Trump administration, and make Republicans look weak on the world stage.
Meanwhile, left-wing media yawns and globalist bureaucrats scramble to cover their tracks. They cheer for endless handouts overseas but never have answers when those handouts turn into guns and blockades. It’s another chapter in the same disastrous playbook: trust the “experts,” ignore America’s interests, and act shocked when it all blows up in our faces. You’ll never hear the likes of Lindsey Graham, or his Democrat pals, admit they made a mess. They’ll just line up for the next photo op and pretend to be “tough on terror.”
Maybe the lesson here is simple: Stop treating taxpayer money as a global slush fund, start holding Washington accountable, and remember that America’s enemies won’t magically become friends because elites write them a check. Until D.C. wakes up, don’t be surprised when our own money funds threats to our safety and freedom. How much longer will we let our so-called leaders stab us in the back and call it “foreign policy”?
