It’s time California wakes up and faces reality. Cesar Chavez Day doesn’t belong on the calendar. This so-called “holiday” basically glorifies a man whose ideals don’t line up with American values. Yet, year after year, liberals keep shoving it in everyone’s faces, hoping no one actually remembers who Chavez was or what he stood for.
Let’s be honest—Chavez was not the saint the left wants you to believe. He was obsessed with union power, cared little about our economy, and led angry strikes that hurt small business owners and legal workers. If anything, Chavez’s tactics brought more division and chaos to communities that just wanted to work hard and get ahead. That’s not something to celebrate.
While left-wing politicians parade around talking about “diversity” and “inclusion,” they cling to old-school activism that only stirs up resentment. California is falling apart—crime is up, families are fleeing, and the middle class is getting squeezed more every year. Yet the folks in Sacramento want everyone to honor a man who disrupted industries and looked down on real working-class Americans.
Why does California stubbornly hang onto this radical holiday? Because it’s all about virtue signaling and keeping their far-left base happy. They care more about checking progressive boxes than actually lifting up regular people. Meanwhile, the rest of us pay the price as businesses close, jobs disappear, and the American dream becomes harder to reach.
Cesar Chavez Day doesn’t unite anyone. It doesn’t celebrate true American grit or sacrifice. It props up a failed, tired agenda that only benefits political elites and their globalist donors. Isn’t it time we said enough? California should stop honoring radicalism and get back to celebrating real heroes, not union bullies with an ax to grind.
