Joe Kent, once the head honcho at the National Counterterrorism Center, has just become the latest name in the long list of Trump-era officials dragged into the so-called “leak” witch hunts. Now the FBI is breathing down his neck with a full-blown investigation. And what’s his crime? He dared question the establishment narrative on Iran and refused to play along with globalist war games. It seems if you don’t fall in line, you become a suspect.
Kent, a battle-hardened veteran and Trump loyalist, stood up against the tired drumbeat for endless war in the Middle East. He boldly called out the flawed logic of claiming Iran is an “imminent threat,” refusing to push America into another costly conflict just to make the bureaucrats and their foreign pals happy. For that, he got thrown under the bus by the very people who claim to care about American security.
But here’s where it gets shady. The real story isn’t about classified leaks or alleged inside gossip. It’s about how a patriotic official gets cut out and targeted the moment he steps away from the Deep State’s agenda. For months, Kent was frozen out by his own team—not because of anything proven, but because he refused to take orders from the foreign policy elite. The so-called investigation looks less like a quest for justice, and more like political payback.
Notice the glaring hypocrisy on the left. When one of their own leaks and undermines a conservative President, they’re hailed as heroes “speaking truth to power.” But if a conservative official won’t parrot the same tired lies about foreign threats? Suddenly, it’s the FBI knocking on your door. The double standard is as obvious as it is disgusting.
Once again, the bureaucracy shows its true colors. It’s “national security” when they want endless wars and lockdowns, but “disloyalty” if you dare break the script. Americans should be paying attention: If an insider like Joe Kent can be railroaded for daring to speak up, what hope do the rest of us have against an out-of-control security state? Maybe it’s time to ask: Who are the real threats to our country—foreign enemies, or the unelected officials plotting behind closed doors?
