Media Weeps for Iranian Regime Insider While Ignoring His Brutal Record Against America

It’s almost comical to watch the mainstream media trip over themselves grieving the loss of yet another so-called “moderate” in the Iranian regime. Ali Larijani, one of Iran’s most powerful, anti-American figures, is gone—and you’d think he was a champion of peace and democracy by the way the liberal press is acting. The left never misses a chance to paint America’s enemies as misunderstood pacifists, especially when they happen to despise the United States as much as CNN’s primetime lineup.

Let’s get real: There’s no way to justify mourning a man who spent his career plotting against American interests and repressing his own people. Larijani wasn’t some cuddly diplomat pushing for “change” in Iran. He was an insider in the mullahs’ brutal regime, responsible for terror, executions, and crushing dissent. But because he was marketed as a “moderate,” the legacy media expects us all to light candles.

Only in the upside-down world of Western journalism does it make sense to shed tears over the downfall of a regime loyalist who made life miserable for millions. But that’s the point—the left-wing press will romanticize any dictator as long as he opposes the United States. Their coverage reads more like an obituary for a favorite celebrity than for a man who hated everything America stands for.

It’s hypocrisy at its finest. When Americans are targeted by these same regimes, the media shrugs. When one of Iran’s bigwigs meets their end, suddenly there are cries of “escalation” and “American overreach.” But when will liberals admit that coddling the enemies of America leads nowhere good? While globalists and progressives weep for tyrants, ordinary Iranians and Americans are left to deal with the consequences.

Maybe the real tragedy is just how eager the press is to align themselves with anyone who shares their anti-American worldview—even if it means turning monsters into martyrs. If only our so-called journalists mourned the victims of Iranian oppression as much as they mourn the men responsible for it.
