Gen Z is letting AI dump their dates and handle drama and experts say real friendships are dying

Something’s rotten in the state of Gen Z—and it’s not just their obsession with TikTok dances and avocado toast. Now, America’s youngest adults are so terrified of basic human interaction, they’re handing off difficult conversations to artificial intelligence instead of growing a backbone. Yes, you read that right. When it comes to breaking up, having tough talks, or just saying how they feel, more and more young Americans are outsourcing the job to a computer.

This isn’t science fiction. It’s happening in real life. Picture this: A young man goes on a date. Afterward, when he needs to be honest and say he isn’t interested in a relationship, he doesn’t summon the courage to speak from the heart. He lets an AI write the message for him. The girl gets confused, the conversation falls flat, and everyone ends up feeling more awkward than when they started. Welcome to the future, folks. Our next generation would rather have a computer break up with someone than risk sounding imperfect.

It gets worse. Recent surveys show nearly half of Gen Z singles are already using AI to handle everything from crafting dating profiles to sending opening texts. Why even bother learning how to have a conversation when you can let some soulless chatbot do all the heavy lifting? Now, the same people who were screaming about “safe spaces” a few years ago can just hide behind a machine when it’s time to be grown-ups. This isn’t emotional intelligence—it’s emotional cowardice.

And here’s where it really starts to sound like a dystopian nightmare. Some young people are getting so comfortable with AI, they’re actually turning to bots—yes, literal robots—to meet their relationship needs. One tech company found eight out of ten Gen Zers would consider marrying an AI companion. If that doesn’t send chills down your spine, nothing will. Loneliness is rising, real friendships are dying, and these kids can’t even see the difference between a friend and a chatbot. COVID lockdowns isolated a whole generation, and now, the Left cheers as technology finishes the job.

Liberals told us social media would “connect” the world. Now, globalist big tech giants want a society where human connection is optional, and our kids prefer talking to a software program instead of each other. This is what happens when you remove faith, family, and community from the equation—you end up with a country full of socially awkward zombies who can’t look each other in the eye. Will Gen Z ever learn how to have a real conversation, or is America doomed to be run by robots and their human servants?
