They’re here, and if our leaders keep their heads in the sand, these terrifying new tools could soon slip into the hands of America’s enemies.
Artificial intelligence is racing forward, and the left would rather squabble about “inclusive language” or push globalist climate deals than build a real plan to keep America safe. While progressives are tripping over themselves to virtue-signal about AI “ethics,” real bad guys in places like China, Russia, and Iran are busy building killbots—smart weapons that don’t hesitate, never sleep, and can wipe out targets in seconds.
The world once struggled to control the spread of nuclear weapons, and it took decades of tough leadership and American backbone to do it. But this time, bottling the AI monster will be even harder. Nukes are heavy and need missile silos and specialists. Autonomous AI weapons? All you need is code and the will to use it. The left pretends they’re the adults in the room, but reality says otherwise. Their broken “reset” routines, empty promises, and “international cooperation” just invite disaster.
Liberals used to wring their hands about “robots taking jobs.” Now they look the other way while real machines are being programmed to take lives without a second of human oversight. Why does Beijing get to gear up for AI warfare while Washington dithers over how “fair” a machine’s algorithm might be? The globalists who spent years telling us to trust China and open borders are the same people asleep at the wheel as these new weapons stack up around the world.
America can’t afford any more woke distractions or trust-falls with global elites. The time to act is now.
