The Justice Department did it again—tried to meddle in state business, but this time, they couldn’t even remember the most basic step: serving the actual lawsuit. That’s right. The same federal elites who never miss a chance to lecture Americans about “protecting democracy” just tripped over their own shoelaces in Washington state. Instead of doing their job, these so-called legal experts forgot to serve their own paperwork to the state officials they’re targeting.
Liberals love to act like they are the gold standard for law and order—until it’s time to put their money where their mouth is. When it came time to back up their lawsuit to force Washington state to cough up its voter rolls, the Justice Department was so distracted chasing after new ways to federalize our elections, they couldn’t even do the basics. It’s almost laughable—if it weren’t such a dangerous game. These bureaucrats want every last detail about voters, but can’t remember the ABCs of legal procedure.
Once again, the glaring incompetence from Democrat-run government shows its ugly face. The left accuses everyone else of “threats to democracy,” while they fumble their own attacks on states’ rights. How can anyone trust a “Department of Justice” that stumbles through a simple lawsuit? Maybe they’re too busy spying on parents, raiding political opponents, or bending over backwards for globalist interests to bother actually following the rules.
This all smells like another attempt by big government to stick its nose where it doesn’t belong. Conservatives know exactly what this is—another scheme to seize more control over state-run elections. They can’t win fair and square at the ballot box, so they try to tangle states in federal lawsuits. Now they’ve managed to botch the job before it even starts. Washington bureaucrats fighting over who gets the voter rolls can’t even coordinate serving papers. Meanwhile, every honest American should be asking themselves: if this is how they handle lawsuits, what are they doing with our votes?
Only the left could turn a slam-dunk, red-tape lawsuit into a slapstick comedy routine. If Democrats want to keep pretending they care about the rule of law, maybe their own Justice Department should try following it—for once. Is this what Americans can expect every time liberals run the show? Or is bureaucratic bungling just the new face of the “Democratic process”?
