Taiwan stands at a crossroads. Communist China is dangling the carrot of “energy security” if Taiwan gives up its freedom and bows to Beijing’s demands for reunification. But let’s get real—selling out your country’s independence just because the bully next door says so isn’t only foolish, it’s downright dangerous.
Nobody in Taiwan is buying this fake promise. Not a single major political party supports surrendering to the Chinese Communist Party. Why? Because they know Communist China doesn’t care about Taiwan’s safety, only its obedience. China claims it will allow “one country, two systems,” but everyone saw what happened to Hong Kong. The second the people spoke up, the iron fist clamped down and crushed any hope for freedom.
The globalist elite, of course, love this kind of power grab. They dream about a world ruled by big governments, controlled economies, and happy little provinces bowing to totalitarian masters. Liberals love to pretend they’re the champions of democracy, but when China cracks a whip, where are the loud voices insisting on national sovereignty or self-defense? Nowhere—because deep down, they don’t care. All that matters to them is appeasing their global buddies and making money with China on the world stage.
Imagine if the United States let another country bully it into giving up freedom for cheaper gas. Americans would never stand for it. Neither should the people of Taiwan. When dictators promise peace, they always mean submission. And when they offer security, they’re usually the very reason you need protection in the first place.
Let’s not kid ourselves—this is not about energy. It’s about power. Will Taiwan fight to keep its liberty? Or will the world let Communist China gobble up another free nation while the left claps politely from the sidelines? Freedom doesn’t come with a discount sticker. It’s priceless, and it’s worth defending every single time.
