California’s Billion Dollar Wildlife Bridge Is the Latest Liberal Boondoggle You’re Paying For

California politicians love grand promises. They talk about building high-speed trains, fixing the homeless crisis, and saving the environment. But what do they actually deliver? More wasted money, more broken dreams, and now—another pointless construction zone: the infamous wildlife bridge over the 101 Freeway.

Gavin Newsom and his political pals claim this so-called “Wildlife Crossing” is about helping mountain lions and other creatures cross the highway. Are we supposed to believe wild animals will politely line up, obey the signs, and use a luxury overpass instead of following their instincts? California can’t even keep humans safe in their streets, but apparently, we’re supposed to trust the same failed leadership to manage road trips for bobcats.

The truth is, this isn’t about the animals. It’s about flashy headlines, fat contracts for well-connected friends, and virtue-signaling for Hollywood elites wringing their hands over imaginary dangers. Meanwhile, real Californians are dodging potholes, rising crime, and sky-high taxes just to fund projects that will never be finished. The only thing roaring in LA these days is the sound of bulldozers tearing up money.

Let’s not forget, this “wildlife bridge” is still unfinished—just like the state’s so-called bullet train, its failed water projects, and its endless homeless “solutions.” Liberals love to start big flashy jobs and then walk away when things get tough or expensive. They lecture the rest of the country about progress, but can’t even finish the basic things they start.

How many more billions will California burn before voters wake up? Maybe the Democrats should focus less on animal crossings and more on crossing the finish line. These vanity projects might win awards from globalist environmental groups, but they sure don’t help Californians trapped under the weight of liberal incompetence. Only in California can politicians build a bridge to nowhere—and still call it a success.
