A 19-year-old Mexican migrant has died in a Florida jail while being held for ICE. Liberals will be the first to point fingers, demanding that American taxpayers bend over backward for illegal immigrants. But the real problem here is the open-borders chaos the left keeps cheering on. When you encourage young people to break the law and sneak into the country, disaster follows. There’s nothing compassionate about creating a system where migrants end up trapped in dangerous situations.
Of course, the usual critics are ready to march through the streets with their “No Human Is Illegal” signs. But where are their tears for the Americans suffering because of failed immigration enforcement? The left’s dream of sanctuary cities and weak borders puts everyone at risk, citizens and migrants alike. For all their talk about “human rights,” they never mention the right of Americans to live in safety and order.
The facts are clear: This tragedy didn’t happen in a vacuum. Decades of globalist policies and liberal hand-wringing have only made things worse at the border. Instead of fixing the broken system, progressives have flooded our country with chaos. Bureaucrats shuffle migrants from jail to jail, and then act shocked when tragedy occurs. It’s a mess no one wants to clean up because the left would rather use migrants as political pawns.
If liberals cared even a little about real solutions, they’d get behind strong enforcement and closed loopholes. But that would mean admitting President Trump was right all along. Instead, they play politics while real lives—including the lives of these young migrants—are lost. Meanwhile, the globalists keep getting rich off the turmoil, and the average American gets left behind.
Maybe the real question isn’t what happened in that Florida jail. Maybe the question is: How many more tragedies will it take before the left admits their open-border fantasy is a disaster for everyone?
