NYC Irish power collapses as woke politicians ditch tradition for social media stunts

The old Irish political machine in New York City is falling apart, and nowhere is this more obvious than in the circus surrounding Mamdani’s latest antics. Here you have a politician tossing out talking points that make no sense, especially when you see him cozying up to Irish radicals at a fancy luncheon—shamelessly chasing social media fame with Sinn Féin politicians. It’s like watching a bad actor pretending to care, all for the cameras.

Once, the Irish bloc was a backbone of hard-working values—patriotic, Catholic, pro-family, and tough on crime. Now? Their influence in New York is fading, and radicals are eager to fill the void. Mamdani struts into a gathering meant to honor the real Irish-American labor legacy, then trashes everything those people once stood for. While Big Apple elites clap along, nobody mentions the hypocrisy—Mamdani gets cozy with Sinn Féin, the same folks who cheered on violence back in the day, but lectures Americans about morality.

It’s exactly what happens when liberals take over the city: identity politics replaces real community. These leftist politicians only show up when they want photos for their next campaign ad. The old Irish power brokers cared about things like safe neighborhoods and hard work. Nowadays, these globalists just care about chasing the loudest hashtags.

Isn’t it funny how quickly these progressives abandon real history when it gets in the way of their narrative? They’re more comfortable hanging out with foreign agitators than standing up for the working men and women who once made New York strong. The Irish bloc built neighborhoods, churches, unions—real backbone. Mamdani’s crew brings nothing but division and woke platitudes.

This is what happens when liberal leaders are more interested in Twitter followers than tough decisions. Maybe that’s how you get the likes—but you certainly don’t get real leadership. If the old Irish political generation is over, what are we left with? A city that confuses pander for principle.
