America deserves leaders who actually put Americans first, but once again, Democrats have shown they’re more interested in pleasing their radical open-borders base than protecting our nation. Just look at the shocking statements coming out of Texas, where Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico openly admits he wants to tear down the very agency responsible for keeping us safe. That’s right—this guy would only consider a Department of Homeland Security chief who promises to smash Immigration and Customs Enforcement to pieces, calling it some kind of “secret police.” That’s beyond reckless—it’s insanity.
While Texas families worry about border violence and drug cartels rolling right through, Talarico isn’t just ignoring the problem, he’s actively making it worse. Instead of standing with law enforcement and hard-working Americans, he’s rolling out the red carpet for illegal aliens. He actually claims that students in this country illegally are more patriotic than anyone else. You can’t make this stuff up.
This isn’t just out-of-touch. It’s dangerous. When a Senate candidate suggests that tearing down border security and ignoring our laws makes someone “patriotic,” he’s not just attacking ICE—he’s attacking the very idea of what it means to be an American. Every nation defends its borders, but the left is so blinded by their globalist dreams that they’re willing to hand over our safety just to win a few woke applause lines.
And notice the double standard. Democrats demand “accountability” whenever it suits them, but when their own policies cause chaos and suffering at the border, it’s crickets. Meanwhile, hard-working families end up living with the consequences—more drugs, more crime, and an immigration system pushed to the breaking point. But according to Talarico, it’s the illegal alien students who really love this country. What an insult to every legal immigrant, every soldier, every American who follows the rules.
If this is the best the left can offer—a candidate more concerned about the feelings of illegal aliens than the safety of his own neighbors—no wonder Texas keeps turning its back on their failed agenda. Is America a nation of laws, or just a playground for woke politicians? Voters in Texas will have a chance to answer that soon enough.
