America has a right to know who is influencing major city leaders. When the wife of New York City’s Mayor, Rama Duwaji, is caught displaying open admiration for Islamic terrorists on her social media accounts, the alarm bells should ring for every patriotic citizen. This isn’t some fringe or fake concern—this is the woman closest to the leader of the nation’s largest city, reflecting values that go against everything America stands for. How can New Yorkers trust their city’s decisions when this is the kind of influence lurking behind closed doors?
The radical left loves to scream about “hate speech” and “bigotry,” but when one of their own cozy up to violent extremists online, the silence is deafening. If a conservative had even hinted at this kind of behavior, the media would be demanding their career—and maybe their freedom. Yet here, liberals in power yawn and look the other way. The double standard is crystal clear for anyone paying attention.
And the rot runs even deeper. Reports reveal that Mrs. Duwaji’s social media history doesn’t just include support for terrorists. She’s also been comfortable throwing around racial slurs, including the N-word. The so-called “party of tolerance” wants you to forget this, because when their own mess up, they bury the story. But Americans don’t need lectures about racism and hate from people who act like this when they think no one’s watching.
Let’s not pretend this is accidental or a minor misstep. This isn’t just some “youthful mistake.” This is who the liberal elite really are behind their masks—hypocrites who shout about social justice while secretly embracing hate and violence, as long as it fits their agenda. This is not someone who should be anywhere near the office of a city’s mayor, let alone being a guiding voice in his ear.
How much longer will New Yorkers and all Americans put up with leaders who surround themselves with people who hate our country’s values? If the Mayor can’t even keep extremists out of his own home, what hope is there for the rest of us? Maybe it’s time the people demand better—and a lot more honesty—from the political class.
