Once again, regular Americans are stuck paying the price for the games played by Washington’s political elites. At Atlanta’s airport—the busiest in the world—travelers weren’t bickering over who they voted for. They all wanted the same simple thing: pay the TSA officers, let them do their jobs, and stop using them as pawns in some D.C. shutdown circus.
Here’s the hard truth the left refuses to face. While politicians in designer suits clash on cable news, it’s TSA workers on the front lines and passengers standing in lines who get slammed. For all the talk about “the little guy,” Democrats never seem too worried when real people—hardworking agents, families trying to travel—are put on hold to score political points or protect their pet projects.
Let’s call this what it is: liberal incompetence and elite arrogance, pure and simple. Those pushing globalist, pro-bureaucrat agendas don’t have to take off their shoes at security or stress about whether flights will be delayed by staff shortages. The folks with money and power get private jets. The rest of us get left holding the bag, hoping someone in Washington wakes up long enough to keep the lights on at the TSA.
It’s not complicated: TSA workers show up every day, even when their paychecks are threatened by D.C. drama. These men and women keep us safe from real threats—something the anti-America crowd is quick to forget as they whine about imaginary “systemic problems.” If we can bankroll endless nonsense, foreign handouts, and big government giveaways, surely we can pay our own security workers on time. Stop putting America last.
Right now, the solution is simple. Cut the games. Pay the TSA. The only shutdown we need is one for politicians who can’t put Americans first for five minutes. Maybe if members of Congress had to fly coach during a shutdown, we’d see just how fast things would get fixed. Or would that be too much reality for the ruling class to handle?
