The liberal elite is at it again, rewriting reality and spitting in the faces of victims. In a jaw-dropping display of ignorance, New York City’s First Lady, Rama Duwaji, decided it was somehow appropriate to show public support for those who say Hamas terrorists didn’t commit any sexual violence during the Oct. 7 massacre. Yes, the wife of a prominent left-wing politician liked a post spreading the sick, gaslighting idea that the horror and heartbreak experienced by Israeli women that day wasn’t real.
What does that say about today’s Leftist leadership? Apparently, nothing is too outrageous for them—not even erasing the suffering of women brutalized by terrorists. Somehow, the so-called “party of women” has turned its back on real, documented cruelty against innocent people—just because the facts don’t fit their woke narrative. When a survivor, someone who was actually there on Oct. 7, called out Mrs. Duwaji directly, it should have been a wake-up call. Instead, the Left keeps doubling down on denial.
This isn’t just another internet spat. This is an example of how far progressives will go to deny reality just to score political points and pander to the extreme left. When confronted with a survivor’s firsthand account, do they listen? No—they keep parroting fake news, disrespecting victims, and cozying up to globalist and anti-American agendas that blame Israel or America for every evil in the world, while excusing monsters like Hamas.
Let’s be clear. This kind of willful blindness is not just offensive; it’s dangerous. When people in power ignore facts, embolden terrorists, and refuse to stand with the victims, they’re sending a message to every would-be attacker: lies and denial will protect you. The hypocrisy reeks to high heaven—liberal leaders scream “believe all women” until it clashes with their far-left narrative. Apparently, some victims matter more than others.
When will these liberal elites finally admit that appeasing terrorists and denying the truth doesn’t make them heroes? It makes them complicit. If even the First Lady of New York City is willing to ignore brutal reality in the name of identity politics, how much worse will it get? One thing’s clear: common sense and moral courage have left the Democrat playbook. Shouldn’t we expect more from the people in charge of our cities and society?
