Once again, chaos erupts near a college campus—and predictably, the left refuses to ask the real questions. Six people were shot just outside Illinois State University, including two students. Two male juveniles, two adult men, and two women were left bleeding at the scene, while politicians cluck their tongues and pretend to care. This is what happens when the soft-on-crime policies championed by liberal leaders get put into practice.
Instead of holding criminals accountable, Democrats are too busy pushing “restorative justice” and letting repeat offenders walk free. Every time a tragedy like this happens, they blame guns—but never their own failed policies. It’s almost like they want us to forget about the law and order that made this country great in the first place.
When you look at Illinois, the rot goes straight to the top. Progressive politicians have run this state for decades, turning once-safe neighborhoods into danger zones. They tie the hands of police with endless red tape, then act shocked when violence breaks out. Who wins in this scenario? Not the families picking up the pieces. Not the college students who just wanted a normal life. The only winners are the professional activists and their friends in the media—always ready to spin the story for their own agenda.
And let’s not forget the constant attacks on the Second Amendment. As usual, the narrative turns to guns as the enemy, not the actual criminals pulling the trigger. Liberals ignore the fact that most shootings happen in places with strict gun control. Does anyone really believe more government restrictions will stop gangs, thugs, or would-be killers from doing what they want? Only the law-abiding end up defenseless, while the rest run wild.
How many more kids will have to get shot before America wakes up? Maybe it’s time Democrats try something new—like actually enforcing the law for once. Or are they too invested in their own twisted vision of “progress” to care about real people getting hurt? The sad truth is, the left’s experiment has failed.
