The Chicago Teachers Union is at it again, proving just how little they care about teaching kids math, reading, or anything useful. This time, they’re begging the school board for permission to yank students out of class – not for COVID, not for safety, but so they can drag children along as props in another left-wing anti-Trump temper tantrum. That’s right: they’d rather have students waving protest signs than actually learning in school.
It’s obvious the union’s real priority isn’t “the children” they love to claim they serve. Their true mission is brainwashing kids into being little liberal activists. Instead of focusing on improving plummeting test scores or making classrooms safer, they’re spending taxpayer time and money organizing political stunts against their favorite enemy: Donald Trump.
This is the same group that shut down schools for months, trapping students in failing remote learning. Now that kids are back, these union bosses want to cancel actual school days just to stage protests? It’s not about teaching civic engagement—it’s about pushing a radical, anti-American agenda on the next generation.
The hypocrisy is breathtaking. If these teachers really cared about democracy, they’d teach their students to hear different viewpoints, not skip class to join a union-run mob. You won’t see these union activists demanding days off for students to support conservative values or defend free speech. Only one point of view is allowed in their “classroom” – the far-left one.
Parents should be furious. Taxpayers should be outraged. Schools are supposed to prepare our kids for real life, not turn them into marching foot soldiers for liberal causes. But that’s the modern teachers union—more interested in promoting division than producing educated, patriotic Americans. At this rate, maybe next time they’ll excuse absences for students to protest against the Constitution itself. What’s next: school-sponsored walkouts every time the left loses an election?
