America’s enemies must be laughing all the way to their war rooms. The U.S.S. Gerald Ford, our Navy’s most advanced aircraft carrier, is now sitting in Crete for repairs. That’s right, the big, expensive symbol of American strength is parked in a foreign port, waiting for a fix. Is this what “global leadership” looks like under liberal management?
It seems every time the Biden administration faces a crisis, American power gets sidelined or sent overseas for patchwork repairs. Instead of projecting might, we’re projecting weakness. The left loves talking about “renewable energy” and “climate change” as top priorities for the military. Meanwhile, our most important ships can’t even stay afloat without limping to tiny Mediterranean ports for work.
Why isn’t the Ford getting repaired at home, by American workers? Because globalists and bureaucrats are more interested in cozying up to international allies than putting America First. The average American taxpayer foots the bill for these floating fortresses, but we don’t even get to keep the jobs stateside. Liberals claim they care about American industry, but these decisions speak louder than their empty promises.
While the Ford sits idle in Crete, Putin and Xi see opportunity. Every day our carrier spends in foreign docks, our enemies’ resolve grows stronger. The left will try to spin this as partnership or “strength through alliances,” but real strength means being able to fix our own ships, on our own turf, with our own hands.
Maybe the White House doesn’t care. Maybe they secretly welcome a shrinking, less-capable military, as long as it fits the “international community” playbook. But patriotic Americans know better. This is no time for retreat, repair, or excuses—it’s time to remind the world what American greatness looks like. If we can’t even keep our flagship carrier running at home, what does that say about our leaders?
