But if you’ve got a “D” after your name, you get a free pass and a book deal. Democrats don’t care if their rising stars bend the rules or even break them. These slip-ups always seem to lead to more perks, more power, and more praise from their liberal pals.
AOC built her brand on outrage—loud, dramatic outrage about the supposed corruption of others. But now there are whispers that she might be caught in the very kind of financial shenanigans she claimed to hate. It’s a classic leftist move: wag your finger at Republicans for imagined crimes, then do the real thing with a smile. It raises the question, do any Democrats ever face real consequences? Whether it’s angry outbursts, cheating scandals, or money missing from campaign accounts, liberals circle the wagons.
