Biden’s digital fraud crackdown is just more DC spin hiding the student loan scam they created

It’s almost funny how leftist bureaucrats in Washington love to brag about their shiny new “digital services” and “modernization” efforts, as if Americans should forget who made government so bloated and wasteful in the first place. The latest headlines crow about the United States Digital Service—an executive branch agency parked conveniently under the thumb of Biden’s Office of Management and Budget—stopping over a billion dollars in student loan fraud. Sounds heroic, doesn’t it? But let’s not kid ourselves. This is the federal government patting itself on the back for cleaning up a mess it helped create.

Remember when Elon Musk shook up the do-nothing Washington swamp with his Department of Government Efficiency? The leftists hated every minute of it. His DOGE wasn’t about more bureaucracy—it was about cutting the fat, holding Washington accountable, and making government actually serve the American people. Now, after torpedoing everything even slightly pro-efficiency, the feds are rushing to rebrand technological innovation as their own invention. They slap a new tech label on the same old tired agencies, hoping Americans are too distracted to notice.

Let’s talk about student loan fraud: who allowed this disaster to fester for decades? It was liberal politicians. They helped orchestrate the corrupt college loan racket, pouring trillions into higher education “aid” with zero accountability, handing the keys to the kingdom over to radical universities and leftist activists. Of course, the student loan system was crawling with fraudsters; that’s what happens when you let the swamp write blank checks and refuse to investigate real abuse.

Now, the same crowd that turned a blind eye to college grifting wants us to praise them for taking baby steps against fraud. Meanwhile, average working American families are suffocating under sky-high tuition, never-ending inflation, and an economy run by globalist elites who couldn’t care less. It’s classic progressive hypocrisy: create a problem, drag your feet fixing it, then demand a gold medal for finally doing the bare minimum.

Instead of celebrating their so-called “win,” maybe the White House should explain why taxpayers were fleeced of billions in the first place. Maybe these “innovators” should take a page out of the real DOGE playbook and start working for American citizens, not their cronies in higher education and big tech. Why should we settle for slaps on the wrist and band-aid solutions when our government should actually protect our wallets and our future?
