Once again, Texas is taking the lead where Washington fails. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick just created a bold new Senate Select Committee on Religious Liberty. In today’s America, you’d better believe this is needed. The radical left has made it their mission to crush faith, mock tradition, and erase our heritage. Mainstream media and woke politicians act like religion is some dirty thing we’re supposed to hide. Not in Texas.
This committee isn’t just for show. It’s here to fight for what the Constitution promised—freedom to worship, speak out, and live according to faith. Liberals scoff at religious Texans as if they’re backwards or dangerous. They want to force Christian bakers to design cakes for ceremonies they oppose, silence prayers in schools, and drag faithful Americans into courtrooms for refusing to bow to woke doctrine. It’s shameful.
Lt. Gov. Patrick gets it. He knows that far too many Americans—yes, even in Texas!—don’t really grasp what religious liberty means. It’s not just about what you do Sunday morning. It’s your right to speak, run your business, and raise your children without atheists, bureaucrats, or globalist activists telling you what’s allowed. This committee will step up to defend those rights, put lawmakers on the record, and shine a spotlight on the hostile attacks coming from the left.
Let’s face it—Texas is under constant attack from coastal elites and so-called “progressives” who can’t stand that people here still pray, read the Bible, and say the Pledge of Allegiance. They want every state to become just like blue cities: churches empty, woke mandates everywhere, religion locked behind closed doors. Texans have had enough. We need champions who actually do something about the anti-faith agenda poisoning our schools and our laws.
The stakes are high. If you let the left write the rules, soon you won’t even recognize what’s left of America. Will Texas stand strong, or let religious freedom get trampled by mob rule and government overreach? Dan Patrick and the new committee are saying: not on their watch.
