California is at it again. This time, it’s hospice fraud on a mind-blowing scale. Walk through any Los Angeles strip mall and you’ll spot these so-called “medical supply” storefronts — always empty, always dark, with oddball names and no real business. You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure something fishy is going on. Yet somehow, Governor Gavin Newsom and his friends in Sacramento couldn’t—or wouldn’t—see the scam for years.
Hospice care is supposed to help dying patients in their last months. Instead, it’s turned into just another way for crooks to bleed the government dry. These fake businesses rake in massive amounts of Medicare and Medicaid money. No patients, no real operations, just easy cash from a failed oversight system. Meanwhile, real patients and honest providers are left in the dust.
What’s worse is that Newsom has been aware of this circus for years. Did he launch an all-out crackdown? Did he fight to secure the system? Of course not. In liberal California, corruption isn’t just ignored — it’s often rewarded. Liberals talk all day about equity and social justice, but won’t lift a finger to clean up obvious fraud that hurts real people and taxpayers. The priorities are crystal clear: protect their political friends and funnel money to left-wing causes, not fix what’s broken.
Is anyone surprised? California has become a paradise for grifters, gangs, and globalists while law-abiding citizens pick up the tab. This is what happens when progressives spend more time virtue signaling about climate change and pronouns, and less time actually running the state. Instead of law and order, we get a sanctuary for scammers.
Ask yourself, where’s the accountability? How many billions get flushed away before Democrats admit their big government “solutions” are the real problem? Maybe the oversight committee will finally drag some of this filth into the open, but don’t hold your breath. In Newsom’s California, corruption is a feature—not a bug.
